Erisimo is sited on a privileged location overlooking Aegiali Bay in Amorgos, less than 100 metres from the beach. The place is beautiful and offers magnificent view of the sea, the sunset and the landscape.

Aegiali is Amorgos’ northern port and main resort, is a charming place boasting the island’s one genuine beach. It is a long beach with soft sand, fringed with trees and makes an excellent resort for families, couples and singles.

There is a variety of restaurants, shops, cafées, and bars. In the port, the fishing boats are laying side by side and it’s also moorings for visiting sailing boats.

From Aegiali you can reach Tholaria, a picturesque mountain village with narrow alleys and traditional whitewashed houses and surrounded by mountains with beautiful walking paths full or herbs and flowers. Here you get a unique opportunity to take part in the Greek village life. The locals still live mostly from traditional trades and they are well known for their hospitality. Just outside the village is Vigla, the acropolis of the ancient city of Aegiali.

Langada, one of the island’s prettiest villages is located 5Km from Aegiali, on the edge of the canyon of Araklos and surrounded by the highest mountains of the island, Krikellos is the highest peek (821m). Langada is a genuine Greek village with narrow alleys, traditional whitewashed houses, and small churches.

Potamos (1 Km from Aegiali) is quiet, picturesque and has kept the traditional architecture and way of life. The village climbs up on the mountainside and offers beautiful view over the archipelago and the bay of Aegiali. Potamos is surrounded by the mountains and beautiful landscape and it provides easy access to the walking paths.

Amorgos has two ports: Katapola and Aegiali.

Amorgos is connected with Naxos, Paros, Donousa, Schinousa, Koufonisi, Iraklia, Ios, Folegandros, Astypalaia.

By Air

Amorgos does not have an airport and you will have to transfer from intermediate stops in Naxos, Santorini or Mykonos which are connected daily to Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos.
